Best Outdoor Photo Session Locations In/Around Bergen County, NJ

Winter is finally over! We are not exactly in Colorado with sprawling views of the mountains and wild flower fields, but there are some really great spots I like taking family photos and you don’t have to travel far.

  • RIDGEWOOD DUCKPOND (officially Saddle River County Park - Wild Duckpond)

This is where everyone goes for the playground and enjoy the sun, but don’t underestimate - it has a lot of difference spots for all kinds of families there. Wth some serious re-design going under way with new trees and flowers, I can expect it to be even nicer.

  • DAVIS JOHNSON PARK AND GARDENS - TENAFLY

It’s about 25 minutes from Ridgewood, and it has a gorgeous rose garden, open grass area with benches, historic and rustic walls and many interesting spots. It can get crowded with photo sessions in warm season, but I have never had a problem and that’s a proof that it’s a great photo location and there is enough room for everyone.

  • CELERY FAM - ALLENDALE

It’s a ‘closed’ type of location where you must go along the loop which takes about half an hour to go around. I have done some senior sessions and adult sessions there and it’s recommended for older kids or adults. It’s actually lots of fun while getting walking done.

  • RINGWOOD MANOR & NJ BOTANICAL GARDEN-SKYLAND MANOR - RINGWOOD

These are two separate locations but I have a photography permit for both. I would love to photograph families and seniors there more!

These are both stunning locations that offers scenic landscape, rustic corners, gardens and of course the gorgeous manors in both locations.
