When is good time to do a senior photo session?
I get asked when is best time for busy seniors to do a photo session to capture this big milestone in their lives. I offer studio and outdoor sessions, but these 3 most important elements are the same for both.
February through May
This is when the college application process is over, and they can breathe a little bit before getting ready for the prom and graduation. Usually this is the best time.
February and March are usually best for studio sessions due to cold temperature. June is beautiful but also gets really hot and humid towards the end. So I usually recommend doing outdoor sessions April through mid-June.
But of course if you make an early decision and available right away, you can get this done any time.
2. Summer before senior year
Some people get this done right before the senior year starts. This is definitely when your senior has the most time.
3. Summer before going off to college
Some people opt to wait till all the festivities and graduation are over. This is an emotional time and also good timing to get some family photos done for holiday cards as well.
